EMDR INTENSIVES
EMDR INTENSIVES
Remote EMDR Intensives for New Yorkers
In an EMDR intensive, we begin by slowing things down—orienting, mapping out our focus, resourcing, and preparing your nervous system so the work feels grounded and supported. From there, we move into extended EMDR reprocessing at a pace that honors your capacity, rather than rushing toward an outcome. These longer sessions create the space to stay with the process long enough for real integration, without being pulled out just as something meaningful is unfolding.
EMDR intensives offer a powerful, immersive pathway to healing in a shorter timeframe. With more time together, you’re able to remain fully present with the work, access core memories and patterns, and move through layers of healing without the stop-start rhythm of weekly therapy. Many clients experience faster and more lasting shifts, while also appreciating that intensives can be easier to integrate into busy lives and may reduce emotional spillover between sessions.
The additional time also allows us to weave in grounding, parts work, and somatic practices, supporting your whole system—not just your thoughts. This makes EMDR intensives especially effective for long-standing patterns, attachment wounds, and triggers that feel “stuck” or difficult to access in shorter sessions.
All EMDR intensives are offered virtually using remotEMDR, a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform designed specifically for EMDR therapy. remotEMDR allows us to engage in bilateral stimulation and reprocessing in a way that closely mirrors in-person EMDR, while giving you the comfort and familiarity of working from your own space.

Weekly therapy sessions where EMDR may be the primary focus or thoughtfully woven into traditional psychotherapy or integrated with other modalities week-to-week, depending on your needs.
-
Because sessions are one hour, EMDR reprocessing typically takes place for about 20–30 minutes per session, with the remaining time used for preparation, regulation, and integration.

This format allows for deep, relational work, though it often takes multiple sessions to fully clear a single EMDR target, especially with complex trauma histories.

2hr EMDR Intensive

Want to focus more directly and efficiently on EMDR
Feel ready to move beyond weekly pacing
Are working with a specific, contained target (such as a recent event)

A focused opportunity to engage deeply in EMDR without the usual time constraints of weekly therapy.
-
Your intensive includes 2 hours of uninterrupted EMDR reprocessing, allowing you to stay immersed in the work and build momentum toward lasting change.

Many clients are able to clear 1–2 EMDR targets during a 2-hour intensive—particularly targets related to recent experiences such as a car accident, injury, medical trauma, or a single distressing event.
OPTION 3:
3hr EMDR Intensive
IDEAL FOR CLIENTS WHO:
Want a deeper, more immersive EMDR experience
Are motivated to make significant progress in a short period of time
Have multiple related targets they’d like to work through
Feel resourced enough to engage in extended reprocessing

We’ll schedule 3 hours of focused EMDR work, creating a contained environment for depth, continuity, and meaningful shifts.
-
Clients often clear 1–3 EMDR targets in this timeframe, especially when working with recent or thematically linked experiences such as accidents, injuries, medical events, or acute stressors.
